1) Visit Dominion
Visit campus to become personally acquainted with our program. Students who are applying for grades 7-12 should schedule a "shadow" visit. This usually involves a half day attending classes and getting to know our students and teachers.
2) Submit an Application
Complete our online application. Your admissions file is opened once we receive a completed application and fee.
3) Testing
Once we have received a completed application (academic recommendations, spiritual/social reference, school records), we will contact you to schedule a testing date.
Students applying for grades Kindergarten through 6 take either an oral developmental assessment or a written assessment of language arts and math.
Students applying for grades 7 through 12 take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).
*Homeschool students: Please return academic recommendations, spiritual/social reference, a written list of classes and grades, and copies of standardized tests with your application.
If your child has attended a traditional school recently, school records from that school should also be forwarded to Dominion.
4) Interview
The family interview is a vital part of the admissions process. Once all paperwork and testing are complete, we meet with both parents (and students applying to grades 7-12). The interview provides a final opportunity to get to know one another and to assess whether Dominion is a good fit for your family.
5) Notification
Candidates who complete the entire application process by January 31 will be notified of an admissions decision in mid-February. After that, applications will be considered on a rolling basis for remaining vacancies on a monthly basis for the upcoming school year.
