The Dominion School, operating as Dominion Christian School, has been established for more than 25 years. We were founded in 1996 by families who wanted to provide their children with a quality independent-school education that would blend the proven methods of the classical approach, the cutting-edge advancements in contemporary math and science, and a Christ-centered worldview. Dominion desires to instill a love of learning and, as a result, develop life-long learners. The goal is not simply to educate our students but to grow them to be engaged with the world and make a positive influence with their lives.
Our goal at Dominion is to encourage students to love Christ and the world He has made. We believe that students learn as much outside the classroom about those two things as they do inside the classroom.
Rather than programming students to think in a particular manner, we guide their exploration of the world while they are under the authority of Christian parents, teachers, and church leaders. Requiring students to engage with alternative worldviews equips them more thoroughly to transform culture for the sake of Christ in their respective callings and vocations.
Dominion is an inviting community of parents, teachers, and school leaders who partner together to educate and raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It’s a place where children and parents are known, where each child is urged to achieve to his or her fullest God-given potential, where a love of learning is fostered, and where children are urged to pursue Christ in all things.
