Welcome to Dominion!

It is my pleasure to welcome and invite you to enroll at Dominion Christian School!

As a father of four, I chose this special place as much for my children as I did for employment.  I pray you will find that our teachers and staff partner well in kindling a love of God and of learning about His world - that Dominion truly is a place that helps your child reach his/her fullest potential.

We will reserve a seat for your son or daughter for one week from the date of the email you just received.  At that time, your contract must be e-signed.  You may complete the additional enrollment forms anytime up to two weeks from the date of the acceptance email.

Dominion uses FACTS, a third-party tuition management company, to collect payments for both the tuition deposit (due at the time of enrollment) and tuition and fees for the year (payable annually, semi-annually, or monthly).  The process for enrolling (below) will guide you through the next steps for completion of enrollment forms and choosing a tuition payment plan.  Since enrollment is fully binding for the entire school year, non-annual payers must purchase tuition insurance, which covers a portion of your remaining balance should a mid-year departure ever become necessary.  This insurance is optional for people who pay in full at the beginning of school.  More information about this program will be outlined in the enrollment process as well.

We look forward to serving your family in the coming year.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Warmly,

Matt Mitchell

Head of School

Next Steps

Step 1: Complete the Enrollment Contract

CLICK HERE to review, complete, and sign the enrollment contract.  You will need to complete this process once for each child.  Important: We make commitments to staff and vendors on behalf of enrolled families, so financial commitments are binding after contracts are signed.

Step 2:

New Families: Create a FACTS Family Portal Account

Returning Families: Sign in using your existing FACTS Family Portal Account

After you sign the enrollment contract, please create a FACTS ParentsWeb account.

  • Visit the FACTS home page.
  • Click "Parent Log in" in the upper-right corner.
  • Click "FACTS Family Portal (ParentsWeb)."
  • Click "Create New Family Portal Account."
  • Enter our district code (DC-VA), and use the email address that you used on your application to Dominion.  (You may set up separate accounts for each parent if you wish to maintain your own login).  If you are unsure of the email address that you used or if you have trouble logging into your account, please contact our administrative assistant.
  • Please note that this username is tied to your family, not to a single child.  If you enroll additional children at a later date, you will see all of them in the same portal.  (If you set up a student rather than a parent account, you will be unable to view the enrollment forms).

Step 3: Complete Enrollment Forms

This process includes the submission of everything from emergency contacts to immunizations and medical forms, so it may require some time.  Please contact our administrative assistant, if you require assistance.

  • Once you have received a new account confirmation email and verified your account, please return to the link above and log into your account.
  • Once you have logged into the portal, in the lefthand menu, please click "Apply & Enroll" followed by "Enrollment/Re-Enrollment" to begin completing the enrollment forms.

Step 4: Families Review Tuition & Fees, Additional Financial Info

  • Returning families, the school will add your new student to your existing family payment plan.
  • Families who have filled in an application for tuition assistance will sign in to their previously established FACTS financial account.
  • New families will have to set up a FACTS financial account (this is different from your FACTS family portal).
  • Review Dominion's tuition and fee schedule to ensure that you understand the full cost of attendance.  There are three different expenses that every Dominion family will incur.
    • Tuition
    • Student activity fees
    • A new family Legacy Fee (a per-family charge that is payable one time in the first year of enrollment)
  • A description of these charges may be found on the page linked above.  While the student activity fee covers all mandatory student activities (such as field trips, overnight middle and upper school trips with the exception of the European tour, classroom supplies, the Historical Festival, other student activities, a yearbook, etc., there may be fees for optional services (i.e. clubs, tuition insurance, participation on an athletic team, optional classes requiring a gym membership).
  • Your $500 tuition deposit is drafted 10 days after you sign up for a FACTS financial account.  Student activity fees are billed with your first payment in May, and one-time new family legacy fees are billed alongside tuition, depending upon the payment plan you chose at the time you signed up for your FACTS account.
  • If you applied for and received a tuition assistance award, your account balance in the FACTS portal will initially reflect full tuition, and your award will be applied by April 15 (before your first payment is drafted).  If, after this date, your award has not been applied or you believe there is an error on your account, please contact our business manager, Karen Seager.
  • If you signed up to pay annually through FACTS, the tuition insurance program (which covers a portion of the remaining tuition due in case of a mid-year departure) is optional.  Most annual-paying families prefer to save the cost of tuition insurance, so this is the default for annual payers.  If you pay annually and wish to purchase tuition insurance, please contact our business manager, Karen Seager.

Step 5: Preparing for your first days

  • For now, you are done!  In the summer preceding your child's entry into our school, we will send you a supply list as well as a school calendar, a reminder of the dress code, and additional information you may find helpful as you prepare for the start of school.  If you apply late in the enrollment season or once school has begun, we may send these items along with a welcome letter that will be mailed to you in a few days.  If you have questions or need assistance throughout your transition, please do not hesitate to contact one of our offices, as follows:
